Please be aware of the limitations of screens and printers when you view the brochure; the colour value and saturation may differ from the colour within the tube. As Adobe say in “About Colours in Digital Graphics“
“Because each device has its own color space, it can reproduce colors only in its gamut. When an image moves from one device to another, image colors may change because each device interprets the RGB or CMYK values according to its own color space. For example, it is impossible for all the colors viewed on a monitor to be identically matched in a print from a desktop printer. A printer operates in a CMYK color space, and a monitor operates in an RGB color space. Their gamuts are different. Some colors produced by inks cannot be displayed on a monitor, and some colors that can be displayed on a monitor cannot be reproduced using inks on paper.” — Adobe “About Colour in Digital Graphics”

Dear Mr. Harding,
I am a fan of your paints. However, one remark. Would it be possible to fromat your colourchart in such a awya that it is printer friendly. Meaning thet the different colours and important additional information are well devided over various A4 sheets. Now they are incompleet
Hi Juan,
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. This is certainly something that can be done.
In the meantime you may like to print the Colours page, the format here may be slightly more printer friendly – https://www.michaelharding.co.uk/colours/

Do you do phthalocyanine red? I can’t find it anywhere. Thanks
Hi Sue, I am afraid not. I have not heard of there being a Phthalo Red Pigment. Here is a link that might help you – http://www.artiscreation.com/red.html#.XuIQa2pKjm9

Hello there! I wanted to inquire about safety precautions of Genuine Chinese Vermillion. With Genuine Chinese Vermillion I’ve read that its toxic when ingested and slightly toxic on skin, but how is the toxicity when painting and breathing/being near the paint? Should one wear a mask when painting with it? What is the toxicity after sealing the painting? Thank you
Hi Maya,
Thanks for your message.
I understand your concern.
Ventilation is always highly important in any artist studio – Wearing a mask is optional, many artists do not choose to wear one when painting with our Genuine Chinese Vermillion.
The most important thing is to remember to thoroughly wash your hands before eating or smoking and of course, once again, ventilation.
Once dry, if burnt or ingested (for example an animal licking the painting) it could be toxic but otherwise you would have no cause for concern.
Best wishes,
Joelle
Hi! I’m from India and I wondered if you sell to Indian markets. I would love to procure your paints for my own painting journey.
Hi Shreyas,
Thank you for your comment.
We would love to have retailers in India – Perhaps you could recommend a few for us?
In the meantime, we do have stockists that offer delivery to India, please visit https://www.michaelharding.co.uk/where-to-buy and select “Worldwide Delivery” from the drop-down menu to view suitable retailers
Hi Michael, you have a link for Chinese Vermillion on your home page but the ‘learn more’ link comes to an error page. Would love to know more about this red with the work I do for clients. Your paints look super vibrant I hope to try them soon. Thanks
Hi Emma,
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention.
We have resolved the issue now 🙂
Let us know what you think of the paints once you have had the chance to try them!
Best wishes,
