Roger Harvey was born in Coventry and won a scholarship to The Coventry College of Art, where he studied landscape and portraiture. On leaving college, Roger joined The Royal Air Force. His two great interests are art and photography. He won his first prize in photography at the age of eleven and, in later life, was awarded eight Fuji Platinum Photographer of the Year Awards. He is a qualified general practice photographer ABIPP, AMPA.
Throughout his business career, Roger continued to paint professionally and became a full time, professional artist in 2009.
He was invited to exhibit at The Tryon Gallery in Dover Street, London W1, as well as at a number of regional galleries in the UK.
Roger believes there is a close link between art and photography, which the old masters discovered with camera obscura, making the two closely intertwined and complimenting each other.
