Bridget Moore

Born in Whitstable, Kent in 1960, Bridget spent her childhood and early adult life there. She studied art at Medway College of Design, Epsom school of Art and Design and the Royal Academy Schools. She has exhibited widely in the UK in solo and many group and mixed shows.
Whilst at the RA Schools, Bridget was encouraged by Roderic Barrett to develop a way of working from memory and her use of colour became essential in evoking mood and feeling in her paintings.
It was at this time that her grandparents’ home was demolished. In response to this she has made much use of her strong visual memories of the building and its surroundings, and it has become the basis of a constant recurring theme in her work.
